Window Treatments

When you're looking to change up a room without making a major investment, consider turning to a new window treatment. There are so many ways to cover your windows that are practical, affordable and stylish!

In choosing your window treatment, first think about what purpose the window serves in your room.
  1. Does it let in a lot of light?
  2. Is it too much light for the room sometimes?
If you have furniture that is fading or that you can't sit on in the middle of the day because direct sunlight will get you in the eyes, consider a heavier drapery that will let your eyes rest. (It will also extend the life of your furniture!)

Are you considering changing a room that you sleep in? Consider window blinds, which you can adjust to let in more or less light. If you want to sleep in late on a weekend, you can just tighten the blinds and the room will stay dark as night.

If your concerns are less practical and more decorative, consider interesting materials as your window treatments. If the room doesn't let in a lot of light, consider gossamer curtains or a light fabric. If the room could use a little bit of color, think about brightly-colored blinds. The trick to a great window treatment is to be practical while using your imagination!
